We are working with an instantly recognisable local charity working in the Folkestone and Hythe District, who supports and empowers individuals and families experiencing deprivation and hardship, in order that they may have a future with stability, dignity and hope.

An opening has become available for a Tenancy Sustainment Officer with a passion for working with those who are currently homeless or are at risk of becoming homeless. No previous experience or specialist knowledge is required as on the job, core mandatory training  and support will be provided, to the successful individual, and there is no loan working.

The Tenancy Sustainment Officer will provide advice and guidance to clients, helping them access housing opportunities and other necessary support.

The role is to engage with rough sleepers mainly in the office, or those moving on to new accommodation, or those who are vulnerably housed or at risk of eviction, and to facilitate solutions to their presenting issues, so we are looking for an individual with core office skills, but just as important, the empathy to liaise with any such individuals.

The post holder will also be responsible for coordinating a befriending and mentoring service, a new project leading the delivery of support to clients moving on with volunteers and befrienders.

This involves mentoring and supporting volunteers to co-ordinate and deliver services within our established Homeless Support Service (HSS) they will also work with the team in planning and developing new initiatives to enhance our offer to those in need.

If you are motivated, interested in the role and thrive working within a small team, then we welcome your application.
