An exciting opportunity for an Underwriter or Broker with experience within the HNW insurance space. The Risk & Insurance Advisor will be the in-house specialist based in London and support the management of the global risk and insurance program for a leading international auction house. You will ensure the business is adequately protected in relation to the high value items under care, custody and control.



Overview

* To assist to manage the global insurance programme.
* Ensure that coverage is fit for purpose and adapts to business needs as they evolve.
* Negotiate with insurers to ensure that the programme is competitively priced.
* Effectively deal with claims and day to day queries.
* Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure a group wide understanding of risk and the global insurance programme.
* Facilitate the identification, evaluation and understanding of risks and provide support, guidance and expertise.

* Build effective relationships with insurance brokers, insurers and captive insurance company.
* Work closely with other members of the team to deliver globally a business focused, pro-active seamless insurance and risk management service.



Requirements



* A solid understanding of the insurance market and products and insurance principles.
* At least 5 years' experience from a broking, underwriting or relevant in-house background
* Exposure to insurance of high value items.
* Proactive approach to providing insurance and risk support
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a "can do" attitude
* Ability to work on own or as part of a team
* Excellent analytical skills including soft skills such as negotiation and presentation
