Background

We are seeking an enthusiastic, customer focused Logistics & Moves Team Leader to join our busy Logistics team. This team aims to provide a professional and cost-efficient logistics and distribution service to the University. This is a varied role and involves working as part of a team to deliver an inclusive, efficient and professional service to our diverse customers which is vital in contributing to the smooth operation of the University.

The Role

Reporting to the Space Manager, your key responsibilities will involve a working oversight of the Logistics & Moves Team which completes a wide variety of tasks, including removals for staff undertaking office moves, deliveries across the sites in Canterbury and the setting up of furniture in preparation for Conferences. The post holder will work alongside the team and take an active lead on key events. Provide training to team members on logistics processes, safety protocols and use of equipment to ensure health & safety regulatory compliance is maintained.

You will be expected to maintain a positive attitude and helpful service across the University, motivating the team, addressing concerns and fostering a collaborative work environment,

The Person

The ideal candidate will be well organised, able to prioritise tasks and communicate with individual at all levels. They will need to provide high levels of helpful customer service, with a positive and inclusive approach. The ability to perform well and lead a team is essential.
