Management Accountant | Faversham - Hybrid | £40k - £45k

A leading Kent employer are looking to appoint a Management Accountant to join their team. Reporting to the Finance Manager you will assist in preparing and publishing monthly management accounts, analysing business performance and providing explanations for variances to budget, forecast and prior year.

The company offer Hybrid working options with 3 days in the office, 2 from home.

Responsibilities/Tasks:
• Produce timely and accurate monthly Management Accounts
• Maintain balance sheet control for all areas of responsibility through up-to-date balance sheet reconciliations.
• Lead the production, review and analysis of annual budgets and monthly forecasts with all relevant managers.
• Analyse business performance against Budget, Forecast and Prior Year on a timely basis, providing insight and challenge to managers to drive improved business results.
• Operate in line with company standards for financial control to safeguard company assets and report any non-compliance.
• To maintain an up-to-date awareness and understanding of applicable UK accounting standards, applying them as required.
• To proactively identify and initiate continual improvements in team’s methods of working to minimise cost and improve service.
• To act in accordance with Company Accounting Policies, to maintain ledgers and ensure accuracy of all information.

Candidate Profile:
• Part-Qualified member of ACA / CIMA / ACCA or QBE with a proven track record of producing management accounts for submission to senior management
• Communication: competence in challenging and advising business partners and senior management to ensure accurate submission of figures
• Analysis: ability to interrogate systems, analyse data and produce insightful information which can be used to improve business performance
