You will work for a progressive organisation based in Maidstone, Kent. The Accounts Assistant is an exciting role which will encompass general accounting principles, and allow for growth.
Your new role
To be responsible for ensuring the collection of monies from clients within the Company's agreed credit period, whilst maintaining good relationships with those clients and with insurers. Reconciliation of insurer and all other supplier accounts on a monthly basis, ensuring settlement of agreed items, as per Terms of Business.

* Daily posting of receipts and payments, including daily maintenance and balancing of the cash book, reconciling payments with unpaid invoice records and daily banking into the client\'s accounts.
* Reconciliation of bank accounts with cashbooks on a monthly basis
* Ensure all month-end routines are strictly adhered to, in particular, settlement of insurers' accounts within the applicable individual terms of credit
* Assist in the running of month-end procedures
* To operate the credit control function, in conjunction with colleagues as appropriate, strictly within agreed Company procedures
* Adhoc reporting

What you\'ll need to succeed

* Experience and knowledge in using Excel Spreadsheets (generating and creating reports)
* Reconciliation process - client and supplier
* Knowledge on Acturis (Desirable) / OpenGi
