Hays Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Foundry Factory Operative for our client based in the Medway Towns area. This is a full-time position for the successful candidate.

Monday to Thursday 6am - 4:30pm (40 hours per week)

Job Duties Include:

* Melt preparation prior to casting
* Washout – cleaning of moulds prior to casting
* Presenting moulds for casting
* Casting - pouring of molten metal into ceramic moulds
* Takeaway – moving of moulds following casting
* Performing knock out – removing ceramic shell from castings via manual means
* Manual Handling

Health and Safety

* Correct use of PPE at all times
* Knowledge of chemicals used as stipulated in the departments COSHH assessment and Material Safety Data Sheets
Clear understanding and awareness of the relevant Risk Assessments
