An well established Multi disciplinary consultancy group with an enviable reputation in excess of 40 years are seeking a dynamic senior surveyor capable to take a lead role in instructions, client management assisting other surveyors and graduates within the team whilst ensuring clients are provided with a high-quality building surveying service.
In addition, you will have the opportunity to progress to Associate level and beyond

Your new role
As a Senior Building Surveyor, you will be responsible for providing technical and professional advice to clients on all aspects of the construction and maintenance of buildings and property. You should want to actively undertake further training to contribute to your own personal development and of other technical staff whilst promoting the core values with a view of creating and maintaining good client relationships
You will be responsible for undertaking surveys, inspections of buildings, including condition and dilapidation surveys, Party Wall Act matters, and preparing detailed and accurate reports.
You will be expected to provide advice on maintenance and repair, including health and safety and fire safety, and to provide guidance on statutory compliance.
You will also be expected to manage a variety of projects, ranging from small works and repairs to major refurbishment and new-builds. You will be responsible for managing budgets, overseeing contractors, and attending site meetings.

What you\'ll need to succeed

The successful candidate will possess a degree in Building Surveying, or equivalent, and have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role. You must have a sound knowledge of relevant legislation, such as Building Regulations, and be able to interpret technical drawings and specifications. You must also be able to work independently, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
